Sales Associate

Job Title: Sales Associate  

Location: Richmond, VA 

Start Date: February 2026

Winvale is an INC500 recognized consulting firm and a leading advisor to government contractors. Founded in 2003, we serve market leaders, executives, and managers of both large and small businesses, across all industries by providing contract support as they compete for business within the public sector. We’re excited to announce a new opening for a full-time Sales Associate in our Richmond, VA office. We are looking for talented sales individuals who understand federal government contracting and can contribute to our growth. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

You will be an important part of our sales team and will connect with companies that want to enter or grow within the federal government marketplace. Your work will focus on identifying and qualifying prospects, ask questions to understand their goals, sell value, and move them through the sales cycle to close. The ideal candidate will conduct internet research, generate targeted leads, establish strategic partnerships, build relationships with decision makers, and maintain a consistent pipeline. You will also work closely with our marketing and delivery teams, and report to our Vice President of Sales.
 

Ideal applicants will have: 

  • Dynamic and friendly personality with excellent communication skills; 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks; 
  • Ability to reach out through calls and professional emails; 
  • Ability to understand and find the decision maker; 
  • Desire to work in a results-oriented environment; 
  • Proficient in LinkedIn, HubSpot, and MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook; 
  • Travel as needed to meet prospective clients and attend industry events; 
  • Strong desire to learn, succeed, and maximize your income potential; 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a leading college or university; 
  • Experience working with government contractors and the GSA Schedule program is preferred. 

 

Compensation:

Marketing Intern

Job Title: Marketing Intern

Location: Richmond, VA 

Start Date: March 2o26

Winvale is an INC500 recognized consulting firm and a leading advisor to government contractors. Founded in 2003, we serve market leaders, executives, and managers of both large and small businesses, across all industries by providing contract support as they compete for business within the public sector. We’re excited to announce a new opening for a full-time Sales Associate in our Richmond, VA office. We are looking for talented sales individuals who understand federal government contracting and can contribute to our growth. 

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be an important part of our B2B marketing team, helping us sharpen our messaging to drive revenue. You’ll report directly to our VP of Marketing and Communications Manager to create engaging content and marketing campaigns centered around government contracting and the public sector. No previous knowledge of government contracting is required.

Specifically, you will:

  • Create social media content for our LinkedIn, X, and Facebook pages
  • Support video production for our social media accounts and YouTube channel revamp
  • Create content for our weekly marketing emails and email campaigns
  • Assist with marketing slicks and webpage content for our Winvale sites
  • Create basic graphics for social media in Canva
  • Research, write, and edit blogs
  • Work with our sales and delivery teams to validate messaging
  • Support planning for employee teambuilding events

Qualified applicants will have:

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited University
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent research skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Majoring in Journalism, Communications, English, or related field
  • Experience with video and editing preferred

Compensation

This is a paid internship opportunity at $20 per hour, ~15-20 hours per week. Applicants must be based in Richmond, Virginia and available to work in our Innsbrook office for at least part of their weekly schedule (in office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
