Navy’s SeaPort-e rolling admission is open again!
This is a great time for government contractors who specialize in engineering solutions to start or expand their current support with the Navy and other DOD agencies.
The SeaPort-e indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) has generated more than $19 billion since 2011, with over $4 billion being attributed in government fiscal year 2014.
SeaPort-e consists of a series of IDIQ contracts. Navy utilizes an online portal system for proposing, awarding, and administering task orders. All Navy Systems Commands signed a memorandum of agreement, stating that all are required to use SeaPort-e as their acquisition contract for engineering, financial, and program management services.
The SeaPort-e online portal is used by the Government and contractors to manage the solicitations and task orders that are issued and to track and bid on solicitations. SeaPort-e has a list of approved contractors and uses a rolling admissions process to expand the contractor base.
The Navy Systems Commands [NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR, NAVFAC, and NAVSUP], the Office of Naval Research, Military Sealift Command, and the United States Marine Corps compete their service requirements amongst SeaPort-e IDIQ multiple award contract holders.
All task orders are competitively solicited, awarded, and managed using the SeaPort-e online portal; and since over 80% of its contract-holders are small businesses, SeaPort-e provides opportunities revenue generating job growth and enhancing small business participation.
