Winvale In The Community

Tech for Troops: Tech for Troops is a non-partisan 501c-3 non-profit corporation that provides veterans with skills, computers and IT workforce training. They accomplish this by providing veterans and the children of veterans in need with free, refurbished computers and opportunities to partner through T4T with company businesses that provide training or networking experiences.

When schools began to close and turn to online learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many students in Virginia needed computers to stay connected to their classrooms. Winvale’s President, Jeff Vittone, helped Tech For Troops distribute computers and refurbished equipment for the school children of Bedford County.

Safe Harbor provides the support that survivors of sexual and domestic violence and human trafficking need to overcome their crisis and to transform their lives. By providing shelter, counseling, support, education, and advocacy to survivors, they are helping those who have been impacted by violence and abuse to heal, rebuild, and move forward with their lives.

The Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM) works with local government, state and federal agencies, and voluntary organizations to provide resources and expertise through the four phases of emergency management. VDEM plays a vital role by distributing PPE and emergency medical supplies across Virginia to facilities and personnel in need. Together with MediDent Supplies, we were able to donate 3,000 KN95 Respirator Masks and 3-ply Medical Face Masks to help VDEM fight COVID19.

SCAN’s mission is to prevent and treat child abuse and neglect throughout the Greater Richmond area by protecting children, promoting positive parenting, strengthening families and creating a community that values and cares for its children. Winvale participated in SCAN’s Santa Shop by donating gifts and toys for children and families in the community impacted by child abuse and neglect.

Feed More’s mission is to fight hunger in Central Virginia by collecting, preparing, and distributing food to neighbors in need. With a service area that stretches across 29 counties and five cities, Feed More is dedicated to providing neighbors who face hunger with one of the most basic necessities: nourishment. Winvale’s employees have made personal contributions to Feed More’s cause as part of our annual holiday charity donation.
